Artifact #1: One Too Many // Modern Tragedy
In my Honor World Lit/Comp Class we read the play Antigone by Sophocles. This play is a tragedy so, for our final project we had to make one of our own modern tragedies. My group consisted of Skylar Abbott, Nicole Sedwick, Deisy Rivera, and Dahlia Galvez. We made a short story about a doctor who was trying to perform a new surgery on homeless people and ended up killing them by putting in too much anesthesia every time. And she was trying too hard to become the best, and this resulted in her tragic flaw. The Purpose of this Assignment is to show our understanding of the play and that it is a tragedy and that we can take this characteristics of a tragedy and make our own modern day movie out of it. The process of making this short film was to start with the idea and create a storyboard and script. Next we had to come up with costumes and our set. Then finally after days of pre-planning were able to get into the Healthcare room and film! And in the end we had a final product / film. I am very happy with how this turned out we got a final score of 94%.
